Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how QuickQuote (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the QuickQuote mobile application and related services (including the client portal).
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the app. The types of information may include:
- Account information: email address and basic authentication identifiers used to sign in.
- Business profile data: business name, logo (if you upload one), contact details you choose to save.
- Client and document data: customer names, emails, addresses (if entered), line items, pricing, notes, and document status (quote/invoice).
- Usage data: basic app interactions and diagnostics (e.g., crashes, performance events) to improve reliability.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- Create and manage your account and sign-in session.
- Generate quotes and invoices and display them to you.
- Provide client portal links for your customers to view and respond to documents you share.
- Improve app performance, troubleshoot issues, and enhance features.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Client Portal & Sharing
When you share a portal link with a client, the client can view the specific quote/invoice and related details. Clients generally do not need an account to view the portal content you share.
You are responsible for ensuring you share portal links only with intended recipients.
4. Service Providers (Firebase)
QuickQuote uses third-party services to operate the app and store data, including Google Firebase (such as Authentication, Firestore database, Cloud Functions, and Hosting). These providers may process information on our behalf to provide the service.
5. Data Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of data.
6. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account using our public deletion page: Delete Account.
- What gets deleted: your authentication account (e.g., email/login identity).
- What may be retained: quotes, invoices, and business records you previously created may remain stored, but will no longer be accessible without the original account.
After account deletion, if you sign in again later, QuickQuote will treat you as a new user and you will not see previous quotes/invoices from the deleted account.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including using secure services and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
QuickQuote is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Your Choices
